ebuyer have good prices if you are looking for off the shelf deals; also sole trader outfits that can put you one together can also work out cheap and with the features you need rather than what you dont need but end up paying for.

they've been removing posts where you promote your own stuff. But it's not so straightforward when the OP is asking for recommendations in a forum where business owners hang around and thus are likely to put themselves forward.

@ Mods/admin - Can't there be a sub forum in here for getting quotes/recommendations/suppliers relative to businesses with it being the business forum? It would seem a natural extension that brings more business folk specifically to this forum rather than amongst a load of ads for domestic stuff. My 2 cents anyway.

What are they for, i.e. what spec?
There's a computer fair the first Sunday every month at Don Valley stadium, you can pick up parts or whole pc's

I bought an 1200MHz PC and a 14" LCD monitor for about £50. I use it just for basic email, web and documents. It sits in the corner and is on most of the time. Whereas for my main graphics machine I bought 8GB of ram and a phenom processor off ebuyer the other day.

I'm actually thinking about another processor, so right now i'm off to compare prices at More...

Be sure and let me know how we do before you buy, I don't like losing business to ebuyer.
