she dosent need milk its a mith animals need milk to produce milk she should do everything herself but just keep and eye on her, i recently talkd a friend through the birth of her kits and basicaly she dident have to touch them except getting one to atch on which wouldent apart from that unless shes strugeling please leave her to it herselfxgood luckx
What the heck do you pay a vet for if they haven't already told you all of this??!
I have no experience of cat births or breeding cats so will leave it to others to help you but I'm disgusted that your vet has seemingly dropped that bombshell on you and let you leave without knowing what to do!

Best not to give her milk really unless its cat milk and I still wouldn't give her extra, if she is pregnant she will need extra food though, try to give her the best quality kitten food that you can and plenty as she will need the calories for the kittens and milk production.
Sorry I do not know enough to help about the birth part, I have seen 2 lots of kittens born in the past and it was fairly quick so as others have said just watch that she isn't struggling away for too long.
