Hi,

I am due to view a 3 bed house on middlewood road, Hillsbourough, just past the football stadium. I know this is a main road and was just wondering if anyone could tell me if it is difiicult to park there and is it is very noisy, and if so is this concentrated to rush hour or continuous all day?

Also as i am hoping to let out the property after living in it for a while does anyone have any idea on rental prices for the area/road and if there is likely to be any problems letting out a property on a main road like this.

Thanks

I live just off Middlewood Road, and yes it is a very busy road, but is concentrated around rush hour. It is also very very busy on match days, (avoid the pubs). I have lived there now for over 3 yrs and have always found it pleasent, there are good amenities and good transport to city centre.

I don't know about about crime stats or much else, apart from you'll be alright with double glazing, and you never know if you don't have a look.

PS Sheff Wed are selling there training ground - either for more houses or a supermarket, which would mean increased traffic.

We saw a house off Middlewood Road last year, quite a way from the grounds (Withens Avenue). Yet, cos it was a match day, it was impossible to park, and it firmly put me off the area. Even people's drives were blocked off by match-goers. Something to bear in mind I guess...
