I know I definitely chose the right place to get her from.
When we got there we were asked to take our shoes off so we don't bring in any muck on our shoes because the puppies are only 3 weeks,
then we had to wash our hands each time we wanted to hold her, as did Lorraine the breeder.
Then we went into the yard for the 'ultimate test' Tara. Tara is Pebbles' aunty. She's absolutely mad! if we could cope with her, we could cope with anything.
We passed but had to spray our shoes with detergent before entering the yard to make sure we didn't take anything dodgy in.
This seems a little over the top, but at least I know that Pebbles is being cared for!
She's given me a book on dalmatians to read and Simon, her husband is doing a video from the day they were born progressing until we take her home, then we get a copy of the video!
I'm so chuffed!
Funky pup...
Most decent breeders are majorly stringant with hygene, which can only be a good thing. They are really vunerable when they are young :)

Thanks Joel,
yes I know they are vulnerable - I was actually really pleased that she made us do all the precautions, it made me feel a lot more comfortable about where I was getting Pebbles from!
Don't mean to be noseybut how much(ish) does a good pup like that cost nowdays?

I was thinking that too.
She's expensive, but not a lot more than any other pedigree pup.
She's £550, I've already paid £50 of that for the deposit and my parents, despite me offering to pay them back in installments, said that she can be my 18th birthday present, as I'm not the type for extravagant parties etc.
Don't worry about being nosey! The reason we haven't had one before is because we weren't in the financial position to get one and we didn't have enough time but we do now, as I've dropped a course at college and mum has quit work and dad has his own business.
We would have rescued, but there were numerous reasons we couldn't and so had to go for a pup.
You can actually get them for as little as £250 for a pup who's a bit older, or £400 for a pup like her but we weren't sure about the breeders and this one we know is extremely health conscious and a very good breeder.
