Wow, great owl shot! How close did it let you get for that? Like the knife too. The snout is a little disturbing though :)

Cheers Damascus Knives are amazing ...eatch and every one is as individual as a fingerprint...i have a few in my collection but its a dying art and there getting extremely expensive to buy now...the one in the pic is made from 521 layers of steel

Wow, great owl shot! How close did it let you get for that? Like the knife too. The snout is a little disturbing though :)The Owl was around 8feet from me when I noticed it ...I struggled a bit as I had to throw a fence out of focus that was between me and the owl...It just looked at me and went back to sleep lol

the first snot (I mean shot) freaked me a little until i grasped wot it was not sure i need to see it this close up though thanks.

Thanks ..I took the shot from around 6ft away with a Tamron 70-300mm lens set at 110mm...I am pretty impressed with the lens considering it is a budget lens used freehand

there are some absolutely stunning damascus blades on there (a heck of a lot of sheffield made knives too:cool:)
i'd love to see more of you knife collection (even though knife is a dirty word these days:(, it's what sheffield was made of!...)

yes knife is a dirty word now to some ignorant nutters out there who dont take a real look at the statistics and what type of knifes criminals use (99% are kitchen Knives)Will they try and ban them too soon :hihi:
who in there right mind buys an expensive knife knowing they will have to dispose of it after the crime...
Thanks to this bent government its cost me and 100s with otheres our jobs..and lots more will follow...
