Always seem to be advertising jobs. gaiaroo 20-03-2009, 16:26 Tried applying for them but never get any response! Mr Average 20-03-2009, 16:32 Thanks - that's an interesting response because I have spoken to 2 people who have had the same experience. Good luck with whatever else you're applying for! Mr Average 20-03-2009, 17:22 Just bumping this up before I log off in the hope of getting some info next time I log on But.....if they don't respond to applications........and nobody seems to work for them......er......what is going on?!!! The truth is out there (as someone once said)! Goodnight! The_special1 20-03-2009, 17:39 I work for them via reed recruitment agency there are excellent to work for and it is a very cheery place to work. Also its not like any call centre i have ever worked in before its more customer focussed rather than target driven. Scutts 20-03-2009, 21:37 I applied last October and started in January this year. It's a great place to work, the money is good, conditions are good and the people I work with are good! I went from a job I hated (retail) to a job I love. The reason they are advertising frequently is because the Sheffield office has become the national call centre and more people are needed. The jobs are real so keep applying and good luck. Yea as said above keep trying they recruit every 6 weeks fallenangel1 22-03-2009, 16:13 i've worked at the EA for the past 2 years at their contact centre as an advisor. Its expanding massivley and they have a rolling recruitment programme for advisor positions. If you are customer focused and can demonstrate this on your application form you should be selected for interview. Oh, you are only contacted if you are selected for interview btw as they have so many applicants. Good luck! LukeD 22-03-2009, 19:59 Yeah I've applied a few times and have heard nothing but wondered why they are constantly advertising!! Mr Average 23-03-2009, 12:42 Thanks for the info all. No negative intel from anyone working there so will apply. I am currently working in a specialised customer service role for a large govt dept but our team is being re-organised and I want to stay doing people and problem solving work and progress within that kind of role Thanks again and good luck to anyone else. God knows there are few enough jobs to apply for out there! Scutts 23-03-2009, 13:24 Good luck  Mr Average 09-06-2009, 12:31 Just thought you'd like to know I got a job with them! Very fortunate, and the recruitment process was quite testing. Start on the 29th. Better money....better work....! Can't wait! Thanks to those who posted info and support. Indeed I can find no-one who has a bad word to say about the EA as an employer. And as an aetheist I'd just like to apologise to God and thank him/her/it for the necessary divine intervention. Lewbie 01-09-2009, 19:42 Thought I would resurrect this thread as I have an interview next week for the position of Process Helpdesk Advisor. Could anyone give me any information on what to expect, as I really want this job and want to be the best prepared I can. Does anyone know if they tend to recruit a number of people at once? Thanks in advance! Scutts 07-09-2009, 20:54 Thought I would resurrect this thread as I have an interview next week for the position of Process Helpdesk Advisor. Could anyone give me any information on what to expect, as I really want this job and want to be the best prepared I can. Does anyone know if they tend to recruit a number of people at once? Thanks in advance! Hi, I've only just come across this as I've been on holiday. As far as I know, there is only one Process Helpdesk Advisor position up for grabs. They won't put you on a waiting list if you don't get the job (unlike DWP!). The focus is still very much on good customer service and working as part of a team. I'm not sure what the interview process is like as i think they have changed it since I was interviewed last year. At that time it consisted of 3 parts. composing an email reply to a customer, dealing with an awkward customer on the phone and a face to face interview with a couple of managers. All I can say is don't worry, everyone is very friendly and good luck. Lewbie 07-09-2009, 21:36 Hi Scutts! Thank you very much for the reply! Gives me more of an idea on what to prepare for! The Environment Agency seems like a great place to work and the job sounds great... so fingers crossed! jester6881 11-09-2009, 14:53 I had an interview for one of the roles there and whilst I felt that it might be a good place to work, I didn't hear any feedback as to why or what I had not done to get the job even after calling 3 times which is a bit annoying. I do have a mate who works there and says its pretty good. Izzy222 13-04-2012, 13:12 Hi - Have just reached 2nd stage process for Environmental Agency customer service job 2012. Anyone any idea what the telephone interview process consists of and what the powerpoint test is like? Need a job badly so any help to get through the tests would be very much appreciated. Izzy222 15-04-2012, 11:36 Thanks Angel - Appreciate your help very much. Don't feel quite as nervous thanks to you.xx |
