I have nothing against Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes as actors; they both make more than a good living from it and people seem to think they do it well.

But am I the only person who feels more than a little bored of the constant gushing and often stomach-churning appearences they've made as a couple of late?

Cooing over each other on talkshows was one thing, but the sight of Miss Holmes practically worshipping Mr Cruise at the MTV Movie Awards as he accepted an award conferring some kind of iconic movie-god status upon him...that was too much for me!:gag:

I think even though they have probably fallen in love they are using their relationship to promote their movies....

But then again the media are going way overboard with it.

Tom Cruise seems to have gone a bit odd....

Ooh yes - nausea is rising... Think her first scientology class is due soon for her convertion to a Cruise clone.

I think Tom has lost the plot recently. Is his mouth being rented out by someone else is some kind of freaky sci-fi thingy.

Not just about his love life either. Apparently he was on some US talkshow informing the audience that Brooke Shields was out of order for taking some form of medication when she suffered badly with Post Natal Depression... Apparently it is against his religion.

I agree. Tom Cruise appears to have lost his marbles! I saw his appearance on the Oprah show, and I honestly thought he was on something! He was absolutely manic. Maybe taking too many diet pills? He could hardly stay in his seat!

This is tragic news. I have no knowledge of Tom Cruise other than he was in Top Gun and a really terrible film I saw - by accident - called 'Vanilla Sky'. Now I see he is also a Scientologist (whatever that is). What is tragic is that he is with Katie Holmes, who is far too young for him - what are they thinking? I first saw Katie Holmes in 'The Ice Storm' and have adored her ever since. Don't tell me she's gone barmy too! I don't care, I still love her. But then, I fall in love very easily, in fact, I fell in love with a lamppost once, she was so sleek and beautiful.

Yup, i'm fed up of it. Every magazine has some silly story or pic of them.

At first I didn't think it was a publicity stunt, but now - not so sure. 'Stars' depend on publicity to promote themselves and their films. Me thinks this is a bit too much of 'waaayhay look at me' to be totally believable.
