Sorry Mods if this is tantamount to Piracy.. PS no Kirky I am not being hypocritical here so don't even start about me being a "lefty".

Another good cartoon was The Space Sentinels.

I liked Grange Hill, Childrens Ward (could have been early 90s not sure), Going Live, Mr Benn (which I believe is back/coming back), Press Gang, Byker Grove, Basil Brush (Boom Boom!!), The Chronicles of Narnia, Camberwick green, Trumpton, Fun House, Rainbow, Rentaghost.

That's about all I can think of for now!

Mr Benn is coming back apparently with new episodes, not sure when though.

I'm sure that fancy dress shop up Crookes was inspired by Mr Benn, cos it's called Mr Benn's :D

Every single programme listed there was expressly designed to appeal to viewers to whom 'Magic Roundabout' presented rather too strenuous an intellectual exercise...

If you have Sky, they show Bagpuss at 9.40 PM every night on Nickelodeon Jr, right after the Clangers.

And no, I don't watch it regularly I've just seen it a couple of times while channel surfing... Why would I watch Bagpuss at my age?!

The programmes listed in the poll are real boys' stuff. Knigh Rider was PANTS.:gag:

I loved Moonlighting and fancied the younger (pre-bald) Bruce Willis.

Adding in girlie programmes such as Cagney and Lacey, Dynasty, Knots Landing and A Very Peculiar Practice. Was LA Law in the 80s or 90s? I loved that programme. Morse was also fabulous in its day although I find it too slow paced now after having got used to one hour fast paced American crime dramas.

Did they ever escape? I vaguely remember that cartoon!!

They went "home" (or had the chance to) several times, and in the final episode, they had the chance to leave forever, but opt to stay behind to rescue Dungeon Master.

The entire third series was a run up to a never produced finale, called Requiem, which saw Venger as the minion of a much greater power and that he was also Dungeon Master's corrupted son.

The kids were to redeemed Venger and then on they go to a fourth series.

It would have been awesome, but sadly, we'll never see it's like these days with Ben 10, Generator Rex, and Pokemon doing the rounds.

Plus Dungeons & Dragons is on its death bed, but it's a terrible shame.

The Professionals - Martin Shaw, still as good looking today as Judge John Deed.

Fresh Fields with Anton Rodgers and Julia McKenzie

and does anybody remember a comedy with Ronnie Barker, 'Clarence', it ran for about 6 weeks, he played a partially sighted man, living on his own, and his g.f., (who later played Elizabeth, Mrs Buckets neighbour in Keeping Up Appearances), came to live with him. I remember it being funny at the time and have always looked but have never seen it repeated, must be one of the few things that hasn't.

The early episodes of The Bill were good, before the programme got too involved in the personal lives of the officers and The Gentle Touch with Jill Gascoigne, was that the 80's?
perhaps earlier.

Just found 'Clarence' on Amazon so a bit of decent t.v. viewing coming up :)
