View Full Version : Amazon Parrots, Red Rumps, Budgies
Bilbo Baggin 14-03-2009, 16:44 After the death of my uncle, his brother is looking to rehome all of his birds, there are 4 Yellow faced Amazon Parrots which he wants to go all together to an aviary. He does not want them splitting up as they have always lived together. He would ideally like to go and see the place they will be living. They were my other uncles pride and joy so it's very important to my other uncle that he finds them a knowledgable and caring home. He thinks they are now past breeding age so please no breeders or anyone trying to make a quick buck. If anyone knows of any Parrot sancturys in the Sheffield or North Derbyshire area it would be appreciated. There are also other birds that he would like to go to aviary homes, budgies and red rumps. Doesn't want anything for them just a loving and caring home.

Thornberry Animal sanctuary 01909 564399 may take the small birds they have a large aviary and do not rehome the birds, they stay there for life as far as I am aware (you would need to check with them on that though)

Bilbo Baggin 31-03-2009, 17:21 Thanks to everyone who helped. The birds all went together to the Bull in the thorn rare breeds farm on the Ashbourne Rd, Near Buxton. They have built some really big avairys for them which have trees and lots of toys in and they looked so happy flying around exploring their new home. I know my uncle who died would have approved of the place and it's settled his brother mind a lot knowing they have gone to such a wonderful home. It's open to the public around easter time so if you are passing that way, call in for a drink, it's a lovely day out.
Thanks again to all.
Dave
