Hello,

I'd like to volunteer in a care setting in preperation for my application to Sheffield Uni to be a Midwife.

I've followed the usual routes of contacting the NHS and local PCT but the ward positions are in high demand and their next recruitment drive isnt until september.

Does anyone know of any private health care facillities that take volunteers?

Im willing to work with children, families, the elderly etc it doesent have to be in a maternity setting.

Any help would be really appreciated.

I'm sure sure about the specific role that you're searching for. You may not be able to do that until you have the Midwifery qualification, but I'm just guessing from experience.

You may have to settle for something that isn't as demanding or challenging and you will definately find something relevant on the do-it.org website. It's excellent for all the kind people willing to do something for the community!

Good luck

Private facilities can't take volunteers. Have you looked in 'Do-it'? Or ar Rotherham Hospital?
