My beloved dog Barney died this morning, aged only 9 years.

He had been in the Vets in a bad way over the weekend, unable to walk, eat or drink by himself. Apparently this morning he was doing all three and had bags of energy, when suddenly he had a heart attack which tragically killed him.

I am devestated as he is the only dog I ever had and he was absolutely wonderful, and 9 is no age for a dog to have a heart attack.

Rest In Peace Barney, i'll never forget you. xxxx

Thank you all for your lovely thoughts, I never thought it would be this bad, I knew he was very ill but I never dreamed he may not have survived. I am devestated, I didn't know it could hurt this much :(

So sorry for your loss, it does hurt so much when you loose them. Hope you are feeling better soon.

I think most people on here know what your going through. Although that is of no comfort right now.!

Again, thanks for all the kind thoughts. He will always be with us in our hearts, its just a shame he couldn't be with us physically as well. He will be much missed, he was the most energetic dog you could ever have met, would have never dreamed he had a poorly heart, (which is what the vets think killed him). I'm crying just telling you all about what a wonderful dog he was.
