I am medium height, light brown/fair hair [with a few flecks of grey, at 43] with no sign of balding yet. I have blue eyes, and all my own teeth. As you will know, I am also a bon viveur, scholar, and expert lover.

Re Miniminch, I always imagine Mini [whose intellect, wit and martial ability I respect] to be a rather tall, long-limbed, slightly gangling type. I can imagine that he wears a lot of Tshirts with slogans of various kinds- some ecological. I envisage his hair as being dark. Is this anything like the 'real' Mini?

I've been compared to a few people over the years. It seems to change with my hairstyle though. When I was about 17 I had a messy, wavy do; I was often called Jim Morrison. A year later, my hair had grown and become quite straight, so I got John Lennon. At 20 I had my hair cut into a spiky little number with blondish tips; I was known as sonic.

Now people seem to have stopped comparing me to anyone, which is the way I like it.

I've been compared to Joseph Fiennes by my partner...which was flattering, but I think she's a little biased.:)

My mates have also likened me to Phil Anselmo from Pantera when he had the long hair and beard...I'm not sure which is better!;)

There was one small compensation waiting for me, however. Remember that press photo of Rose West (they always seemed to use the same one)? She looked exactly like my ex-mother in law! When I was much, much, much younger EVERYONE said I looked like Boy George. It used to drive me crazy, I didn't have a problem with B.G but people used to accuse me me of trying to look like him. I'd change my hair and make-up and he'd do the same. Of course no-one would believe HE was copying ME! I can understand the Drew Barrymore reference the most, I think - we do seem to suit the same style of clothes, having a similar figure and colouring. I keep an eye on what she's wearing, as there's a good chance I'll look ok in something similar.

Did you see what Drew was wearing at a recent award ceremony Starsparkle? It was a dress that looked more like a bottle green tent, and it made her boobs sag down to her knees. Not a good look! Definitely not one to copy! She usually scubs up well too.

People say that I look like either Uma Thurman or Paris Hilton, neither of which I find particularly flattering. In fact, was pottering round town the other day minding my business, when some American came gawping and saying "Is that you Paris" and then wouldn't leave me alone. And my boss calls me Sheffield Hilton!

These comparrisions trouble me for the following reasons...

1, With reference to the PH one - Paris Hilton has scraggy hair, no dress sense, no grey matter, and always looks smug and drugged up to the eye balls. I DONT! I really don't! And I'm not stupid!!!

2, With reference to the UT one - My dad fancies Uma Thurman. Nuff said. This fact has always disturbed me. Although luckily, he can't seem to see the likeness between me and Uma himself!

I've been told that I look like Vladmir Smicer, and two different people have said that I look similar to John Terry. A former boss at work also constantly said that I look like 80s pop star Rick Astley (:o ), and he'd always call me Rick at work.

Around five years ago there was a news story about a policeman in his 20s who'd ran off with a 15 year old girl to South Wales. Their pictures were both all over the national news, including TV broadcasts. At this time I used to use a different message board forum, and many people from there observed (independently of one another) that I looked like this policeman. The worst thing was that they were right, I could clearly see the likeness myself. :o

I have been wondering whether or not to post this since last night, because it is in my opinion quite embarrassing, but I get told I look like Michelle Marsh (page 3 girl) quite often!!

Did you see what Drew was wearing at a recent award ceremony Starsparkle? It was a dress that looked more like a bottle green tent, and it made her boobs sag down to her knees. Not a good look! Definitely not one to copy! She usually scubs up well too.

Thankfully, by the sound of it, JBee, I missed that particular awards ceremony! Not the sort of thing that's a good look on anyone! That's one of Drew's looks that I suspect I won't be emulating..... :suspect: Not intentionally, anyway! :D

People say that I look like either Uma Thurman or Paris Hilton, neither of which I find particularly flattering. In fact, was pottering round town the other day minding my business, when some American came gawping and saying "Is that you Paris" and then wouldn't leave me alone. And my boss calls me Sheffield Hilton!

I may be going completely gaga here, but I think your avatar has a certain 'quality' of Uma Thurman about her. Not in appearance as such, but I sense a similarity in the attitude and poise. And in the obvious sophistication. :thumbsup:

I've been likened to Posh Spice from a photo of me I took with my phone - I think it's the sunglasses 'cos I'm twice her size and infinitely less orange.

I also used to get called Pink when my hair was black, by a guy I used to see out clubbing in Derby - I imagine he was trying to get into my pants but telling me I look like Pink, even if it was the Just Like a Pill vid? So not the way to do it!

Best compliment I ever got was when an English professor told me I resembled "a young Grace Kelly."
