Be sure they tell you what speed you can get on the broadband.

When I enquired about getting the full package they told me we could get the top broadband upto 16mb.

When I actually ordered, they said we would only be able to get half a Mb because the nearest telephone exchange is 4 miles away, so we ended up with Sky TV only.

Thank you, lots of people have said the same, guess Im just a naturaly sceptical person! The special offers that they have running do seem a bit too good to be true sometimes.

Don't trust the introduce a friend offer either.
We got someone to introduce us so we could both get £50 of M&S vouchers, but then they wanted us to pay £199 for the Sky+HD box.

At the same time the Sky+HD box was one their website at £99 with £50 vouchers if you signed up online yourself.

Their answer - they couldn't give us the £50 each for the introduce a friend offer AND allow us to have the box at £99.

They could easily have just taken my money and kept quiet but they didn't.

when adding up the figures for sky remember that you have to have a BT landline & to add that in to the cost too. if you have multipul sky boxes they must all be conected to the phone line.

i've been a sky customer for over 2 years now & i am a happy customer. the only problem i have had with them was because i have two sky boxes on the multi room package. they started to charge me the full price for the multi room box instead of the discounted £10 charge. it turned out there was a loose conection with the phone line to that box. my OH sorted it out & sky refunded me.

we've had this package for about 3 weeks now. Its faster than my previous ISP and less than half price.

My only problem now is that my son cant get the wifi to log his Play Atation to the net. Thats probably a fault at our end.:|

Sign up to them through Quidco and you will get cashback from them aswell which makes the deal even better. £50 for sky plus package and more if you get HD package.

This sounds interesting , I was under the impression that no matter which telephone provider you went with , you still had to pay BT for the line rental

I have the total package, and have no problems with it for over a year now, works out cheaper to get all three services than pay for separate ones.

I also use my ipod touch with the wifi thingy on it as well.

i was also told by sky that i have to have a BT line rental. when did this change & how much do sky charge for the line rental. i would much rather be paying sky a lump sum than having to pay BT aswell.

why cant you play xbox 360 with the sky?

Very odd, at the moment they're pushing staff in pretty much every department to get people to upgrade to line rental - you can upgrade online - details here (http://www.sky.com/portal/site/skycom/skyproducts/skytalk/linerental) - you do need to be out of your 12 month contract with BT though...

I have just sorted my sky package out, Sky+ and multiroom, but have a line with BT, so the sky advisor told me to check with BT as they wasnt sure if i could get their sky talk and broadband. Have been told by BT i can get it, even though i have free calls with BT, but in order to get the broadband i need to subscribe to sky talk which is free anyway, its all weird.... why cant they just give me the broadband? would be a lot easier.
