There 'should' be a very short priced double in Masterminded (Queen Mother Champion Chase) and Voy Por Ustedes (Ryanair Chase), but there are never any certainties, certainly not at THE Festival!

I was reading one of the Cheltenham previews earlier, and from what I saw there, just forget about Punchestowns' last run. He'll be properly wound up for the World Hurdle. There wasn't a lot more to go on, but there are a couple more I've not read yet.

The ground is expected to be a little quicker than last year, but pretty much perfect jumping ground by Tuesday.

Anyone got the winners of the Coral Cup and County Hurdle sorted yet :P?

Harchibold will come cruising for ew backers in the champion hurdle. Oppose master minded at odds on. Sublimity for me is the best value all week but time will tell

Harchibald has such a high cruising speed, but that hill over 2m2f doesn't like him. That said, Binocular is far too short in the betting for me. Flatter tracks with a strong pace, such as when he won at Kempton at Xmas seem to be Harchibald's hammer really. That said, he's certainly talented enough to reach the frame ...... again!

Masterminded has to beat himself to lose on ratings. The second last has been completely modified now, so that fence shouldn't prove any more of an obstacle. One to watch and be spellbound by, and believe me, I'm no favourite backer!

Lough Derg has been so admirable this year, if he goes in the Coral Cup, 25/1 (Billy Hill) could be a very big price.

Planet Of Sound looks a cracking bet at about 8/1 or 9/1 in the Arkle as well.

I live in Cheltenham now, and am not looking foward to it - the traffic alone is a nightmare! However, if someone would like to pay me for a night in my spare room, as opposed to paying a min of £100 a night for some crappy bnb.... well there's money to be made!

Was having a look at the Supreme novices Hurdle earlier to see if I could find anything to beat Cousin Vinny. The long and short of it was 'not really', but 5/2F in that sort of race is too short for me.

The best I can come up with so far is GOLAN WAY (25/1) who holds American Trilogy (12/1) on their running in a Grade 2, will like the probable ground and is a slick jumper. From a smaller yard, so possibly overlooked.

Are there any superlatives left to describe A.P.Mccoy? I've just watched the ride he gave Wichita Lineman. Awesome!

my only winner today , unbelievable, only Mccoy could have got that home.
Half way through the race they were offering 59/1 on the exchanges.

I had a couple of quid on Punjabi, and had him in a Lucky 15 with Garde Champetre. I backed Punjabi more out of sentiment really. I've followed him since his first run over hurdles, and had he not fallen at Kempton, he'd have been a lot shorter.

I wasn't exactly confident, but just had that nagging feeling that something would lick Binocular. I don't like 'good things' at big Festivals!

Actually Sid, the Queen does have a runner on Friday in the big race of the week, the Cheltenham Gold Cup, and I do think it has an each-way squeak, but at 14/1 best odds is a little short for me to back each way.
