I've been invited to a 4th of July party. I feel a bit strange being the only Brit invited, I know they have fireworks but does anyone think, maybe I've been invited as a guest of honor to be put on the bon fire?:D

:/ I tried putting on loads of smilies and it wouldn't allow that either. What should I wear to this 4th of July party? A quaker outfit? Or a long black robe and pointy hat!

I got dressed up to go to a New Year party here and had to go home and get changed, it was an outdoor party and the temperature was about -10c, they had a live heavy metal band in their garage and I almost turned up in a poncy dress! I went home and put on my thermals and jeans before anyone saw me!

Well, I'm going to take a giant cake designed like an American flag and hope for the best. At least the Stars and Stripes flag isn't seen as a symbol of racism here!

Awww Tulip, I hope you have a fab party. I think it's great the way the American's celebrate things like this.

They are really proud of their country, I wish there was more of that over here.
