After having to send of my 50D for calibration with a front focusing sigma lens:rant:, i have learnt that a camera that i have been wanting for a while is on its way to me.

A Canon EOS 3 35mm SLR:love:, One of the best film cameras Canon brought out. I have been tempted to get back into film for ages.

I am wating for the wife to wonder why the fridge will be stocked with dating film. She will be confused why there is no screen on the back:huh:!

I will be testing it over the weekend with nothing but prime lenses to make sure that i can get the best possible images from it while testing it!

Shame to be without the 50D.
Gives you a chance to play with the EOS 3 though.
Have fun.

Hope you enjoy it. I use 35mm film exclusively now, mostly colour. What films are you going to use? Make sure you post some images!

I was in the sme situation, I had a film EOS with lenses, flash etc. Sold the lot and moved to Nikon, I just could not get on with the handling of the canon DSLRs that I could afford.

I have just put the first roll of film through the camera today and i am happy with the results which can be seen on my Flickr (http://www.flickr.com/photos/33l/sets/72157614932594370/) set.

these are not touched up in anyway. I was shooting with ISO 400 Illford B&W film. There is not enough grain for my liking but happy with the exposure. Simple contrast tweaks could help with this and possible investing in some filters to help with this wouldn't go a miss.
