64mb Lwxar USB Pen Drive.

There is sure to be some-one on this forum who can tell me what this is.
Says attach this to your keyring and is an ultimate and flexable way to transfer data
reduced to £9.95. Thanks in anticipation

It's a little device you can plug in to a USB port on your computer and put files on. A floppy disk holds 1.44mb so it is like 35 of them. Most computers less than 7 years old have usb ports. It wont play anything back like mp3s it is just to transfer them from one place to another.

basically, you can just use it like a floppy disc but it stores more data :) plugs into those little rectangle slots called USB ports :)

only work on windows XP generally without drivers needing to be installed.

£9.95 is a lot for 64Mb. Most places will offer a 128Mb for that price. If you're going to buy one, I'd recommend a Sandisk.

Just noticed a pen drive for sale here:

I would highly recommend snapping this up!

Once you have one Hazel, you'll wonder how you lived without one ;)

I stick photos on mine when I go visiting, and had all my favourites on it for college, as well as photos of any A1 drawings I had done, or the original CAD files

Yep, it's the most useful thing I've bought for ages.

Thanks for the replies

I think I might give it a try and if I have difficulties I know I can ask for help. I seem to find it harder to learn new tricks as I have got older. But sinks it eventually.

The tip about using it for photos Stix, will be of use.

shouldnt be any probs at all hazel...just stick it into a usb port and up it pops in my computer as a new drive, then drag and drop / copy files into it like a floppy etc..........same as my mp3 player, you unplug it and it disappears from my computer again.......with xp anyway
