If you're looking for free graphics programs, don't forget the GIMP (http://www.gimp.org/)! :) For something more to do with viewing/converting than creating, Irfanview (http://www.irfanview.com) is a must-try. I'm sure there are hundreds of others two, but those are the ones I'd recommend trying first...
