I usually don`t drink, but once or twice a year I`ll have adrink in the house with my other half.
Tonight is the night (so if I start talking bab it really isn`t my fault)
All of a £2 bottle of lambrini and I`m hammered! (I`m very cheap)lol
How much do you usually manage to get through on a night out?

My OH jokes about me being a cheap date- normally I don't drink, so he buys me two soft drinks and I drive us about meaning that he avoids paying for taxis.

When I do drink then it takes me 3 or 4 evenings to drink a bottle of wine and even then it makes me fall asleep every time. For this reason I don't drink when I'm away from the comfort and safety of my recliner ;)

It depends on where I go. If its to a decent pub I can drink 7 - 8 pints in an evening session. If I travel into the city centre, with not a great choice of real ale (bitter), queuing at the bar, expensive prices etc I drink a lot less.

These days I don't enjoy getting out of my head. Maybe I'm getting too old, at 38?

yeah, us over 30s tend to get worse hangovers (if i have over 9 pints i can get a hangover for 2 days :( )

I'm cheap as anything, even at Town prices I can make a tenner last me all night in most Pubs, as I only drink 3 Pints at the most.

I don`t even manage a tenner. you don`t realise how difficult I`m finding typing at the minute!:hihi:

It wouldn't take much to make me get drunk. I hardly ever drink and don't really see the appeal. Give me a glass of cola any day.

I usually have a couple of bottles of wine at the weekends and spend most of the time giving a pretty good rendition of Daniel Day Lewis in "My Left Foot" when I'm on the pc.

If I'm downloading and its above %70, I'll sit there staring at the counter, shouting "SEED YOU XXXXXXXXXXXX" and trying to work out a complex algorythm in relation to the speed of the download and it's fluctuations. This can last till morning, when the wife brings up a bacon buttie and the divorce papers.

Worse thing is, I'm usually downloading something naff for the kids, like Peppa the Pig. And no, that's not a euthamistic porn title. Though saying that . . .

I very rarely drink these days so my tolerance is near non-existent. My family laugh as it takes only one or two sherries or martinis and I'm giggly.
None of the family drink much, we never go to a pub, so we only drink if out for a meal or at home playing cards or games which can get quite hilariously out of control.

So, yes I suppose I'm very cheap (and cheerful).

I'm either extremely cheap in that my preferred non alcoholic drink is soda and lime and I'll be driving or extremely expensive in that I like cocktails and jack daniels.
Wine I'll normally drink something around the £4-5 mark in the house but don't drink all the time...

I take £50 out and usually come home with some change depending what I'm drinking, this includes taxi.
I am a bit of a ladette when it comes to drinking though, it must be the Irish in me.

I'm amazed that there are people who can drink over 9 pints of anything in one evening and only suffer from a hangover. My kidneys and bladder couldn't cope with it, let alone my head.

If we go out for a meal, I never drink, cos I am always driving, but in the house, we have a bottle of red wine on a sunday - and the half bottle knocks me out! I have to go to bed for a sleep:hihi:

I don't drink much at any other time, but it only takes 1 or 2 gin and tonics to get me a bit tipsy!

Oh. In comparison I suppose I would rank as high maintenance. On an average week I eat out on 4 weekday lunchtimes. Nothing extravagant but with drinks it probably adds up to around £40 per week.

Weekday evenings we either stay in and have a bottle of wine with a meal or eat out (1 or 2 evenings) and do the same.

We rarely stay in at weekends and so Friday night would be either a couple of small beers or a couple of glasses of wine, followed by a couple of malt whiskies at home.
Saturday night is usually eating out with the OH. Perhaps my share would be £20/£25 in drinks and food and perhaps another glass or two of whisky at home..

Sunday is often a sandwich and a glass or two of beer. Sunday evening a roast and a bottle of wine at home.

It frightens me to add up the units.

Today is a pretty typical Sunday. A cycle along the 5 weirs calling at 2 pubs for refreshment. I am just having a quick Campari and soda before I start the Sunday Dinner.

When i used to go out drinking more-or-less every weekend, it'd cost a fortune cos i really could take my drink, now, give me 2/3 vodkas and i'm nearly gone :hihi:

On a night out with the girls i normally spend on average about £30. However, it can vary between £20 and £40, but i don't know how

I've gone out with £50 on a number of occasions and taken more out of the cash machine well before the end of the night.

Although on Friday - 2 pints of cider, 2 cocktails and a shot was more than enough for me.

That Government advert which shows the number of units per glass and the amount that can be drunk during the week is really depressing. I have to sink a bottle of red every time I see it :D

I wish I could be cheap, but often than not I end up spending a small fortune. Maybe the idea of keeping my cash card at home and taking out a specific amount might solve that problem.

Thats OK if you know in advance what you'll be drinking and how much it will cost. It also helps if you avoid paying in rounds

This is definitely true of paying in rounds, I always spend much less when I'm in rounds of 2/3 as opposed to 5/6.
