Has anybody heard any rumbles of thunder yet ?
Been waiting for a storm all day. Thought that one on Sunday was great. ;)

I heard a few rumbles earlier on this evening but I've not heard anything recently.

I guess we're just going to get the miserable warm drizzle all night.

saw some excellent lightning out in the peak district early tonight and even more near chatsworth but hardly any rain or thunder I went over to ladybower res to try and get some shots of it but by the time we got there it had fizzeld out. I love being out photographing thunder storms if we get any more bad weather this weekend I will be off some where to try and catch it on film or even video. I would like some on sunday as I will be doing a job at a pub what is shut for a complete revamp and I might be able to get on the roof to do the shots of it lightning we shall have to wait and see wont we.

If I get some then I will post some on here for you to have a look at but we will have to wait and see what comes out of the sky first is it going to be hot and sunny or are we going to get the thunderstorms. but If I dont manage to get some this weekend I am will be out and about with my camera next week and going to different places so I might be lucky somewhere else.

Hi BigKev or any one.How do you photograph lightening?
I would think you just use a long shutter speed and small aperture and wait and hope.Any advice would be very helpful.
Thanks.
PS I will do some searches later when I have time.
