I will advertise this for Jackie on the main forum if no one comes forward from the Pet Section but most people on Pets know how dedicated Jackie is.
She has recently sold a large table, two normal chairs and two carvers to help towards vet bills. The table is very heavy and all items need to go to their new home about two and a half miles away. It's a two man job I'm afraid or man and woman job!
Can anyone help out please?
are they of a decent size? would you defenatly need a van??

Yes - what you haven't said is that its actually Jackie's own table and chairs that she has sold to try to pay the vet bill. Nobody knows the hardships suffered in silence
I would think it may be better in the jobs bit cos there are often people with vans there that I'm sure would help
I didn't want to say Rain, cos some people think I am exagerating Jackie's vet bills. But cats turn up on her door step all the time. It's not just the 20-odd special needs that she has to provide for. It's the poor souls that find their way to her, in terrible conditions and she has no hesitation in seeing to their needs, no matter what the cost.
Namz - the table is 5' x 3'6" and very very heavy. Will pop onto Jobs section now, thanks.

No I know - if all she had to do was look after the 20'odd in the sanctuary - i'm sure she could afford to keep going on the bits that come in.
However its the constant stream of requests and dumps and phone calls that she gets every single day and night - that must drain her down. Jackie has dedicated her life - not only to help the cats of sheffield - but also the people of sheffield with their cats too.
Only yesterday I had a lovely heartbroken girl on the phone asking if i could help her. She had taken in an abandoned young cat - put posters up all over the place had him scanned, desperate to find his owner - with no joy. She couldn't keep him as it was making her daughter poorly. She had phoned EVERYWHERE and nobody could help her. I put the lady onto Maggie and hopefully the problem will be solved this weekend by Maggie and Jackie managing to pair up someone who is looking for that type of cat.
Nobody realises how much time this all takes to organise - and Jackie and Maggie do it all the time (yes u do Maggie dont iff and butt). But they need funds to keep paying for the cats that aren't cute and cuddly kittens - to make them well and hopefully rehomeable.
where abouts is it? i have a van but cant do it alone id need help. if local im happy to do for nothing. annax
Anna293 - thanks so much for this offer of help. CATS is in Firth Park.
I've had an offer of help from van man but he can't do it this weekend and as the furniture is in a cat shelter it is taking up room which needs to be used for incoming cats.
Jackie may have the help of a man at her end but perhaps a call to her 2457181 may be the best way forward.
It is so kind of you to offer and hopefully something can be sorted for Jackie this weekend. She is desperate for the space.
Many thanks.
Thanks so much Anna, Tony on the main section has agreed to do it. Kind man.
(Admin - is it poss for thread to be closed please, thanks)
