Possibly blank DVD given the size of some of the downloads.. Plus with DVDs you can fit more than 1 on a disc as the storage space is just over 4 and half Gigs.

I'd go for Verbatim DVDs. Very reliable, and not that much more expensive than your no-name discs.

Ah bigpockets, the "ebuyer of blank media" :) Just about everyone I know who buys cd/dvds has raved about their prices at some point, then stopped using them after an appalling customer service experience sooner or later. Stick with SVP (http://www.svp.co.uk) and you'll be fine. If in doubt, my general dvd advice is to look for a branded disc that uses Ritek G05 dye. As Abdul says, Verbatim dvds are excellent, although imho a bit OTT for games - are you likely to care if it doesn't read properly in 5 years? :)

Datawrite Yellow Top DVD-R's.
Decent discs that I buy all the time and have not let me down yet!

can I ask what game downloads? PS2 drives are a lot more finiky than PC ones... if its PC just grab some Datawrite Titaniums :) nice, cheap and work very well... although I still prefer the datawrite greys, but hey ho they went out of production due to Fuji's patent or something on the dye.

ive never had probs with big pockets, suppose all shops / sites you get customer service problems "eventually"? law of averages?

i bought some cheap gamecube games from the woolworths site and had 3 customer service problems on my first order :( NEVER AGAIN :)
