Any links or advice would be greaty thanks  Cyclone 24-06-2005, 19:50 reduce the number of programs you have started at boot time. run msconfig (assuming you have windows xp), and check out what's under the startup tab, and what's under the services tab. Everything started like that is using a bit of processing power and other resources and so makes the general feel of the pc a bit slower. Other than that, if you have less memory than ideal it's a cheap upgrade which can achieve decent results, aim for 512MB or 1GB if you can. If you're more serious, you can start changing processor, graphics card, hard drive, or even chuck the lot and start again with a modern architecture. sccsux 24-06-2005, 19:52 Originally posted by Cyclone run msconfig (assuming you have windows xp) Win '98 also utilises msconfig:confused: melthebell 24-06-2005, 19:58 as above plus dont have 2 cd drives or 2 hard drives on the same ide channel (connected to the same ide cable) defrag regulary vidster 24-06-2005, 20:06 Originally posted by Happy_Guy Hi does anyone have anyways to speed up my pc.
