Can anyone point me in the right direction now, as we're at our wits end, a member of my family lives in one of these, i dont want to upset anyone else that does, but they're pretty horrible (well some of them) without the scumbag that is living on my relatives block, this person (and i use this very lightly) has been allowed to keep a large dog upstairs, he's no carpets down its on its own for hours so you can imagine where its peeing :gag: he has been reported by numerous decent people on there, some of them that go out to work, and pay their way, the dog was supposed to have been removed a few weeks ago, but its still there, he's just laughing up his sleeve at all the decent folks on there.

Is this the pc brigade gone mad  My relative says they will be going up there and doing him some serious harm soon as what ive said on here is only the tip of the iceberg as to what they're having to put up with off this person.
I dont want this to happen as this will get them nowhere except prison, because the victim in all this would be seen as this excuse for a human being.

The council are really dragging their feet on this, dont know why? but in the meantime my relative is in a living hell with this person. The problem is where would they put him i suppose.

Some genuinley good people live in 'em and on that same token, some proper scrubbers do to. They're not desirable by any means as the walls are paper thin, can be drafty and poorly maintained in some cases.

I lived in one 20 years ago, very spacious, central heated, and nice neighbours. If I could have had the same with a garden It would have been perfect. Times change though and I agree, I wouldn't live in one even if it was free now but thats not down to the maisonettes, just the monsters who live in them.

If your relative (the tenant?) has been in touch with Sheffield Homes (assuming that's the landlord?) and they haven't done anything, or given any explanation of what they are doing, then contacting a local councillor is probably your best next move. http://www.sheffield.gov.uk/your-city-council/councillors

There are rules about keeping dogs in some types of properties, perhaps your relative has their tenancy agreement which should be clear. If no dogs are allowed then this neighbour is clearly breaking their tenancy agreement.

Thanks for the link, yes they have been told by the landlord (Sheffield homes) that the dog shouldnt be in an upstairs Masionette, but 6 weeks on its still there.
To OP's, please read my first post :)
