I could have sworn I've done this before, but am blowed if I can find it anywhere

anyway - I was reading this (http://www.thebeagleclub.org/working%20section.htm) again, and (besides them not seeming to state how much it's going to cost to join the beagle club so we could take part) was wondering if there's something closer we can take part in as this seems to go on a bit far south for convenience

Would anybody else be interested if we could get something assembled?

Yes, I would also be interested in lure coursing....as always if I could get there which is probably unlikely as these things tend to be in the middle of nowhere

well if we get our own group together, if there are agility classes run on council land (parks) would we be able to do the same?

I guess so, but it would need to be a fenced area I would think especially for the lure, I wouldn't like to be some little pooch wandering in while a dog was keyed up chasing a lure, so might not be so easy :(

what do the agility class use?

would we be able to use that plastic holey roll up stuff that usually comes in orange, along with those Y shaped posts? (this is starting to look expensive unless we can get a grant or something  )

plain tracking can be done on training leads, or lengths of washing line, or retractable leads

No idea what agility classes use there are none near me, not sure the plastic stuff is strong enough hmmm maybe

Tracking on a long line is safe enough though but again it could get complicated with other dogs in the area popping in to say hello :hihi:

I wouldn't have thought an escape proof fence was that necessary, as dogs won't be left to contemplate it, and should be enough to put most outside dogs off - it's more a visual deterrent I suppose
