Which club is better?

Leadmill is the best out of the choices given but still isn't an excellent club. If you went in at the same time every friday, odds on the same song would be playing at the same time every week.

Ok, maybe not good to visit EVERY friday. But i think it's the best out of the choices given, but though it galls me to say it, those are the best of the clubs in Sheffield (IMO).

u have compleatly forgotten zero which has the widest range of music of any club in sheffield and is one of the best clubs.

GC is still the best VENUE but the nights that it has on now arn't that good anymore!!!

Im glad you put IMO in brackest lol, as I like alot of other people would rate many other clubs in sheffield that are not listed above those that have been listed.

Perhaps you can get a mod to put in some more options for you, would be interesting reading if all the clubs were in the poll

Maybe, but i went for the biggest clubs that get the most customers. Those are the biggest and the most popular.

That makes the others a minority.

True I agree, you make a fair comment. Althought I wouldnt exactly say Leadmill is big. There are far bigger clubs in Sheffield. Popular...yes Big...No

I'm not a great fan of Niche by any means, but in its defence, I've only ever personally had trouble (ie having my faced bashed in by some drunken scally) twice in clubs; Leadmill and Bed.

I agree, that place certainly has a bad reputation. I suppose it's pretty chilled inside but maybe that's because most people are on an unnatural high!

lol. People from the less desirable neighbourhoods do tend to congregate there. Funny how they start serving only water after a certain time....

lol, well thats a whole different topic altogher, there has been many threads about Niche and violence etc (which imo is over exagerated sp?)

Anyway, just so this doesnt turn into a Niche thread....

Out of the clubs listed i personally would say ether Republic or Kingdom...Corporation isnt bad on a monday or wednesday night for me. Im not too keen on Leadmill, but then again, it just doesnt really play my type of music.

Most clubs can only serve water after a certain time due to licensing laws.

And there are loads of clubs with clubbers using drugs; anyone remember 'Crasher being raided? Bed? Corporation? Arches? Even Leadmill and Kingdom have one or two of the wide-eyed amongst their clientelle.

they're all pretty ****, well no th nights they hold r all pretty ****, leadmill was mint 4 first bugged out, republic, used b good but once again doesn;t have 1 good night now, kingdom less said th betta

no1 wants massive clubs anymore, they have to play ****e music so they can fill n make money

zero has best nights in sheff, th room is best venue (just a bit small)

Zero isn't great, you can't wander around or escape if the dj is rubbish. The nights it has aren't spectacular either. Urban Gorilla is full of trendies and larger louts, is a complete rip-off and plays boring progressive house half the time. Razor Stilletto is ok, but the bands are usually abysmal.

Apparently Urban Gorilla, Planet Zogg and Razor Stilletto are all leaving Zero soon anyway (Zogg already has)

For some proper music, not just someone who has sampled his dad banging on the garage roof, yes. Indie/alternative/Rock. Music that only requires one word to describe it, not 'house funk triple by-pass jazz progressive trance' or other names that mean very little to anyone, including the people that thought them up.

Leadmill merely serves up popular indie and pop tracks of the past and present. There is nothing even remotely alternative about it. Except maybe the toilets.

best clubs in sheffield are easily urban gorilla @.zero and pin up club @"the room.

Razor Stiletto is definatley staying at .zero.....

Best club/night in Sheffield was when Gatecrasher was at the Arches some years ago.

Pre-Trance that is.

The Arches was simply the best club ever

The Arches was great club to go to for a night out to- but if you talk to anyone who ever did a night there - it was a complete nightmare to put events on at... which no doubt contributed to its closing...
