Racing drivers don't tend to be known in this country unless they are in F1 (and doing well)

Many have lucrative and successful careers away from the limelight. I bet Justin Wilson could still walk around Meadowhall and not get hassled except maybe in or near the F1 shop (and he's from Sheffield)

I found that earlier, but I'm sure I've seen a HSE document that actually states that the stig and Ben Collins are one and the same. This was at the time of the inquiry, but surely not even Auntie Beeb could have had that supressed?

The beeb did ask if the identity of the stig could be removed from the document, however they refused as it's an official report / government documentation.

If you watch the re-runs on Dave, Ben Collins is the dude who drives the Merc down the runway so his parachuting chum can land in the back seat. He's also one of the drivers in the Toyata Aygo football match.

My guess is that it is Prince Edward.
