I would be very grateful if someone could please put a small piece of family film from a 8mm tape to a dvd.
I have been to Jessops but the price is more than i can afford.

Is that 8mm analog video? digital 8/hi-8 format? Can do digital 8 or hi-8 formats at home...not sure about the older types.....

Thats a standard 8mm tape, but it may have been used for HI-8 or even DIGITAL 8 recording on a budget.....I don't think I can play it back if its real old skool analog 8mm, only one way to find out I guess.....any idea the actual YEAR it was recorded, this will narrow it down possibly.....

cos maplin sell something call dazzle dvd recorder 'a84ft'.
which would do what your wanting to do plus more

Can try it on my digital 8 camcorder on playback and see if it runs...the cassettes are all the same size.....
