View Full Version : New Job..first day..n..a..c..d..put it all together and waddya get?
slickwitch 23-02-2009, 19:05 Phew......started my new job today.....stayed up all night panicking and fretting.
It was fine....I jumped straight in and got on with it and it's like I've been doing it forever!
I now wonder why I ever left this field of work! I'm bloody good at it and only my ex convinced me I should do something else..despite the fact that this is the area I went to University for....bloody exes.....they really should just burst into flames as soon as you get rid of them so that you don;t have to spend any time moaning about them...or plotting how to burn them to the ground. :hihi:

thats great news Slickwitch. Glad to hear someone has actually started a new job.
(and it isn't a good thing if ex's burst into flames - are you Mr Slicks 1st, or does he have an ex:| )

You're out of touch. It is the National Association of Cattle Drovers.
Good luck Annie Oakley

Chin up kid, Go for it.
Smithster 23-02-2009, 20:45 Nice one Slickwitch.
I too had my first day in a new job today. It's only a temp contract and it's not exactly what I want to be doing, but having been out of work for nearly 6 months after getting laid off last september, I'm just glad to be getting out of the house again to be honest.
Tomorrow I'm going to see if I've got the energy and the motivation to leave the car at home and cycle in. I reckon it's about 3-4 miles.
Well done, chuck - have you come down from the ceiling, yet??
Well done missus slick!!
WhiteHawk 23-02-2009, 20:50 Crikey, it must be a day for new starters. We had one at our gaff aswell today.

Do you work for a firm that droves cattle, and was the new starter an attractive young lady?
It would be too much of a coincidence surely :D
Well done slick, go get 'em.
Keep them doggies rollin' :D
BasilRathbon 24-02-2009, 07:46 I thought NACD stood for National Association of Dyslexic Carers?
Anyway, congratulations old girl; hope you make a success of it and that the job still gives you time for the occasional visit to the forum!
Treatment 24-02-2009, 09:50 Spontaneous combustion never solved anything.
Well done, glad the job is going well.
