I saw this old music vid this morning on one of the cable music channels.
What a blast from the past!

I remember all the girls being increadibly sexy....

The bass player has become a real moose with the passage of time and none of them could dance! :hihi:

Upon further scrutiny, none of them could play their instruments either

Why didn't I notice this when I was 17? :suspect:

The girls were filmed separately from Palmer (this is apparent if you look at the video closely).

Palmer had a great rock voice (listen to him for example, on Doctor, Doctor or Simply Irresistable).

I always thought it a pity that he seemed to prefer to sing ballads.

Now now - had She Makes My Day as our first dance when we got married.

I note that you are quick to skip over the Keith Harris and Orville era of your pop-career.

Is it true Mr Harris has only three fingers on his left hand?

"I wish I could fly way up in the sky but I can't"

"Yer can",

"I CAN'T".

Kindly tell us more about this exciting time, being a green feathered bird with a three-fingered hand up yo' ass.

Yes, the old video is still as sexy as ever. What heterosexual man could fail to find the sultry girls in black exciting and great to watch? A thousand times nicer to look at than misery-goat, Robert Palmer. He always struck me as rather conceited and precious in interviews.

Having said that, dear old Lord Chaverly is correct in his assessment of Palmer's voice. The two tracks mentioned by Lord C certainly showcase powerful rock vocals. I would add another track, where the vocals are perhaps not so powerful, but still very effective; 'You are in my system'.

Everytime I hear the song it always reminds me of Tom Cruise shaking cocktails about.
