Hello. Any property investment experts out there?

A friend is thinking of buying an investment property in Nottingham. Is it a good place to buy in? as apposed to Sheffield etc. She's thinking of student lets.

I can tell you one thing. The prices landlords seem to manage to let for is incredibly high almost on a par with london. £300 a room in the Lenton area PCM was about the average when i was in Notts. However the students areas are ruff as F**K. Avoid Radford especially.

seconded - student areas in notts are in places I wouldn't want to park the car

check what the uni is up to with accommodation too - look what happened to student lets in sheffield when they built all those student flats
