View Full Version : Cinema Outing - Love Actually
Hi all,
I am organising a cinema outing for next Tuesday evening (25/11/03) to see Love Actually at the UGC cinema. Film starts at 8.45pm. Meeting point will be the upstairs bar. I should be there for 8pm.
Any takers?
:)
Agent Dan 19-11-2003, 07:42 If someone can tell me how to get to the UGC, then I'm up for it!

Get on a tram going to Meadowhall. Get off just before Meadowhall. Damn - can't remember the name of the stop - 'Centertainment' maybe.
That's your easiest option I reckon.
Nomme
Yeah, that's correct nomme.
PM me if you want to meet up in town Agent Dan as I will be catching the tram to the UGC.
I will be going ... mmmm ... popcorn ;-)
tinajones 20-11-2003, 17:18 I'm gonna try and make it. UGC is just so damn far and i don't know if i can stand 2 hours of Miss Martine McClutcheon!
I'll be going!
Will be nice to finally meet you all :o
Ok guys- see you all on tuesday night!
Let me know if any of you change your minds so i know how many people to wait for.

I agree tinajones, she is a bit awful! quite a cast other than her though. reviews are not bad at all.
maybe make it to see some of you there
cool...maybe see you later venger!
I went last night , it was a good film, and yes i cried for most of it, if not on the aww factor then laughing.
yeah it was cool fuzzy !! ...
btw ... i am emigrating to america ;-)
Guys and Gals
What a great film ! Nice to meet some of you at last [Ying, JamieW, Tina Jones, Agent Dan, Helicopter Dude and possibly t020 spying on us from afar ?] !!!
Sorry to have disappeared so abruptly; feared I had missed last tram home to Halfway [which it turned out I had !]. Just managed 2 catch last bus home from depot in town....
Hoping to see you all again sometime soon [and maybe meet a few others !]
rtapper [aka trapper aka ratpper]
Nice to see you all again yesterday (and nice to finally meet you rtapper). I had a fab time with you guys and as usual, Jamie had most of the popcorn!!!
Hope you got home ok Mr H...and thanks for the lift.
hiyabeing 26-11-2003, 07:35 I would have come - if it was a film that I wanted to see.
Unfortunately it wasn't. Glad you all had good time tho'
;)
Agent Dan 26-11-2003, 07:53 Heh - was very good though! Very English and quite a "feel-good" sort of film for a dark winter's night!! ...also thanks to Mr H for the lift! ... and good to meet everyone else again as well!!

You got a lift in his helecopter. You jammy _ _ _ _ _ _ _ !!!
Agent Dan 26-11-2003, 09:35 I wish!! We got a lift in his smaller (but no less impressive) mode of transport - the new mini!! I think a helicopter landing in the Centre-tainment car park would have made the front page of the star!!! Hey... there's an idea for some forum publicity geoff!!!
... but they forced me to eat all the popcorn !!
Good to see you all - and a good, feelgood film (even TinaJones tolerated Martine McClutcheon!). Thanks for the popcorn and sweets!
And I hope the MINI was a reasonable second best to a helicopter!
... infact ... as I remember it ... they all ganged up on me ... tied me to the cinema chair ... and forced me to eat a whole (large sized) tub of sweet sweet popcorn ...

i know! she said fack and **** alot so i let her off. going to centerofthetainment was far less painless than i imagined and we didn't get rushed (beaten up) by thugs at the tram stop either!
Agent Dan 28-11-2003, 08:23 That would be because you had two big lads like myself and rtapper to scare them away! Lol! Seriously tho' - what did people actually think of the film? I enjoyed it but I think it would have been better with maybe 1 or 2 less storylines, to give the rest of the film a bit more depth... there seemed to be certain 'leaps' where people had only just met each other and then were living happily ever after...
Yeah Agent Dan ... I thought it was an excellent film ... and I left the cinema with a warm glow in my heart (maybe that was heart burn ... too much popcorn) ... the film was defo high on the feel good factor though.
Would anyone be interested in seeing "return of the king" (lotr3) ... would be excellent with a big group of us.
Yes Jamie I am sure me, Nomme and Fletch would be up for that. Would depend when as it is out round Xmas?

Only if we could pre book some cracking seats, then I'd be in!
I think it's out on the 18th december ...
If there was enough interest we could pre-book the seats.
