Beattie IS a Blade (albeit on loan). This one's called Kevin.

As for Wendy, I said they'd beat United at the Lane and then go and lose the next six.

Makes you wonder where their priorities lie, doesn't it?

I bet.

Similar to the feeling of Tonge's free kick almost shattering the net and Akinbiyi's cracker at your place some years ago.

But personally, I prefer Bobby Davison's diving header past Chris 'Wicker Arches' Woods way back in 1992. We scored three that day, IIRC.

Im not too sure about that assesment, Wednesday were poor for most of todays game and looked as though they could have fell apart at any moment.
Crystal Palace hit the post twice and the one at the kop end was a comical one to say the least, it was like pinball for a time.
Wednesday were not that good today Tommy Spurr is getting worse in my opinion and as someone said in the crowd today he is all leg's.
Jeffer's was shocking an never got a look in.
For most of the game the black fella at the back for Palace ate everything up which came his way, Leon Clarke came on and changed all that to be fair to him.
I just think that Law's decisions are a little lopsided at time's and he should have played Clarke first if he knew the Palace defenders were going to be that strong and commanding.

the main thing is 3points n the bag. if that comes with a poor performance so be it

Agree we weren't exactly commanding but youv'e gotta agree we were a hell of a lot better than tuesday night,at least we passed the bloody ball today
Agree with ya about Jeffers but he never has really done anything so shouldnt be suprised
Totally agree about Clarke though, the kid made a nuisance of himself

I thought Jeffers looked ok today. Made some good runs and some nice touches. Also got hacked down when through on goal.

Weren't you the one slagging Clarkey off? And now you're saying Laws should have started him. Gi' over Clarke was abysmal against Barnsley and was deservedly dropped, but to be fair to him, he came on and changed the game for us, so looks like Laws decision paid off.

I never slagged Clarke off i was saying he hasnt done nowt, hes an impact player nothing more.
Thats what he did today made an impact for a whole 7 minutes.
And if you thought Jeffers played well today you really do need to have a look at yourself when it come's to judging strikers abilty m8.

I didn't say he was great. He wasn't crap though. He made some nice runs and had a few chances. He did have two big defenders in Davis and McCarthy to play against as well. Didn't help hoofing it to him.

Thats what i said in my first post, Clarke is not to be relied on atall, he's to inconsistent, and as far as Jeffers is concerenec he has had more than his moment, he's mega poor and need's ousting.

I just think Jeffers doesn't suit us. He does have a decent football brain, just our players don't seem to see his runs, or the passes he makes. In a decent footballing side, I think he'd flourish, just my opinion though. Hoofing it to Jeffers, you're just not going to see the best of him.

Thats the thing though ive seen Jeffers a few times now this season and he has games where he has had it to his feet or even space to run in and shoot on goal.
He just doesnt seem to be the player he once was, he's not getting any better theres no significant changes in him atall.

damn it, if id known about the designing of a flag i would have put one together, would have had a good chance of winning i reckon, that flag looks pretty much the same as the other one we used to have.
