Then just before nicks show (mark standing in ) mark asked if he was leaving and phoneboy said cant say but i think him and hallam have had a disagreement though :( MagicBert 23-06-2005, 22:03 Originally posted by dansufc he said it was his last interactive evening ever so i rang him and asked him why he was leaving he said i couldnt stay forever i said ye but ur good and he said i have to go. Thanks  Strix 26-06-2005, 01:52 Don't Emap shuffle the DJ's round all their stations? Just to keep the whole thing fresh? http://www.emap.com/nav?page=emap.aboutus.websites.list&product_types=RADIO_STATION&locations=UK_CITY_GRP TOTLEYtunnel 26-06-2005, 07:19 Originally posted by dansufc I just hope he doesnt go to galaxy. Me neither. Don't want to spoil a good radio station :D t020 26-06-2005, 11:43 Perhaps he's got a position on Radio 1 - they like their Northern monkeys there. :hihi: Captain_Scarlet 26-06-2005, 11:47 Originally posted by TOTLEYtunnel Me neither. Rich 26-06-2005, 11:50 Originally posted by t020 Perhaps he's got a position on Radio 1 - they like their Northern monkeys there. :hihi: Radio 2 > Radio 1. Cos they don't play chart crap like Crazy Frog.. t020 26-06-2005, 11:59 Originally posted by Rich Radio 2 > Radio 1. Cos they don't play chart crap like Crazy Frog.. But Radio 2 wouldn't employ Phoneboy. If you've heard Vernon Kay or Sarah Cox you'd know Phoneboy would fit in well. Internetowl 26-06-2005, 13:55 good riddance - hopefully he'll be on Radio Mongolia Rich 26-06-2005, 14:32 Originally posted by t020 But Radio 2 wouldn't employ Phoneboy. Phoneboy 26-06-2005, 20:09 Thanks so much for your lovely comments, I'm getting all emotional. xxxxxx Robbie Loving 26-06-2005, 20:14 Originally posted by Phoneboy Thanks so much for your lovely comments, I'm getting all emotional. xxxxxx so your really going?? can we throw you a party?? well i say you,i mean us :D wayne2440 26-06-2005, 20:21 lets just hope hallam replace phoneboy with a decent presenter. i feel sorry for the listeners who are going to acquire the dreadful phoneboy when he moves on. surely he is the worst radio presenter ever. Phoneboy 26-06-2005, 20:22 so sweet bless you all. xxx Robbie Loving 26-06-2005, 20:26 Originally posted by wayne2440 lets just hope hallam replace phoneboy with a decent presenter. i feel sorry for the listeners who are going to acquire the dreadful phoneboy when he moves on. surely he is the worst radio presenter ever. now come on, although im not a fan of him myself, this really does seem harsh, after all look at some of the drizzle on other emap stations Phoneboy 26-06-2005, 20:29 Stick and stones may break my bones...... I know I have a big listenership, I do actually get to see my audience figures. Admitidelly I may not be everybody's cup of tea, but I accept that. If everybody loved you, then that would just be boring. You guys can say what you want, I've heard worse! xx wayne2440 26-06-2005, 20:33 ok point taken. i suppose when you compare him with some of the other rubbish he isnt too bad. his only bad attribute is his voice (the last thing a radio presenter needs is an awful voice). his voice just seems so false. real radios umberto would be a great replacement for phoneboy. Strix 27-06-2005, 01:46 I have loathed his show for ages, but just recently the music has got better and he has had less of a laddish attitude. I got to the stage where I like his show, and no longer switch the radio off when he's on. Why did we have to be the guinea pigs for him to hone his broadcasting skills on before he swans off to entertain others who won't have to suffer as we did? ;) Hook 27-06-2005, 08:28 Originally posted by Phoneboy Stick and stones may break my bones...... You guys can say what you want, I've heard worse! xx Is it really something to celebrate when the educated adults despise your show and the younger 'chav' element are those who adore it. Is appealing to the lowest common denominator something you're proud of? I really can't stand your show, but fair play to you, maybe you're just incredibly good at appealing to your 'target' audience. Considering some of the calls you get, I'm not surprised you do have a bit of an audience ;) clublander 28-06-2005, 01:50 Phoneboy I realise you probably dont have a **** anymore , but please dont say hallam now are dumping the sunday session? its taken years to get decent music back on sunday nights.grrr give 7-10 to rikki lee by the way. |
