Don't Emap shuffle the DJ's round all their stations? Just to keep the whole thing fresh?

Perhaps he's got a position on Radio 1 - they like their Northern monkeys there. :hihi:

But Radio 2 wouldn't employ Phoneboy. If you've heard Vernon Kay or Sarah Cox you'd know Phoneboy would fit in well.

lets just hope hallam replace phoneboy with a decent presenter. i feel sorry for the listeners who are going to acquire the dreadful phoneboy when he moves on. surely he is the worst radio presenter ever.

Stick and stones may break my bones......

I know I have a big listenership, I do actually get to see my audience figures. Admitidelly I may not be everybody's cup of tea, but I accept that. If everybody loved you, then that would just be boring.

You guys can say what you want, I've heard worse!

xx

ok point taken. i suppose when you compare him with some of the other rubbish he isnt too bad. his only bad attribute is his voice (the last thing a radio presenter needs is an awful voice). his voice just seems so false. real radios umberto would be a great replacement for phoneboy.

ive heard many people tell me they love his voice, and this being the only reason they listen to him......

its like the old saying (cant believe im comparing this) one means junk is another mans treasure

good luck for the future phoneboy

I have loathed his show for ages, but just recently the music has got better and he has had less of a laddish attitude.

I got to the stage where I like his show, and no longer switch the radio off when he's on. Why did we have to be the guinea pigs for him to hone his broadcasting skills on before he swans off to entertain others who won't have to suffer as we did?

Is it really something to celebrate when the educated adults despise your show and the younger 'chav' element are those who adore it. Is appealing to the lowest common denominator something you're proud of?

I really can't stand your show, but fair play to you, maybe you're just incredibly good at appealing to your 'target' audience.

Considering some of the calls you get, I'm not surprised you do have a bit of an audience ;)
