Many thanks Tony. If it's the right person he was once married to my sister and was/is in effect my brother in law.
I have been searching for him for sometime. Nothing serious, but We ahve always had an affection for Ray and just wanted to know how he was.
On my next visit to Sheffield I will now attempt to get to see him.
Again many thanks.
PS- Do you know if he is in the horti most nights?

No not Helen.

Raymond was married to my sister Patricia, but she died.

I have contacted Ray now. Although he was ill in 2007 and I did wonder how he was, I must call him.

I worked at the Park Hotel 25 years ago and if its the Ray I'm thinking of ( he was always very smart and used to go on long bike rides) He was an absolute gentlemen. RIP Ray and God bless you.

I remember him as one of my dad's pub mates when he used to drink at the Park Hotel in the 70s and 80s. He was a top bloke, a real gent.
