Why have you signed another forward on loan isnt it midfielders what you are in need of?
Maybe he's for all the Blades who had Jame's name on the back of there shirt lol.

How do blades feel about that?

I certainly wouldn't be happy if my team had sold it's best player, and therefore the best chance of getting promotion, then replaced him with 3 journeyman strikers. Especially the day after the manager was talking in the paper about signing a "top quality" player.

we need sombody who can put the ball in the back of the net simple as that, but i'm sure were getting 1 midfield & 1 Defence

Mad dash by Blades to the charity shops, to retrieve all those recently discarded shirts!

I find it hard to believe that Webber, Sharp, Henderson and a.n.other already at the club, wouldn't get enough goals in this league.
Warnock bought about 70 strikers in his time.
Is Blackie out to beat that total?
I'd feel a bit peed off if I were one of the above players.

how tall is he? the rest of our strikers look like extras out of the film willow.

My thoughts exactly. This signing is not a bad one in the scheme of things, but i think it's in case anything happens to Hendo again, so we can carry on playing long ball.

I'll be behind the lad though :-)

I'm surprised, It's actually a good signing. I hope he does well and stays. We could get rid of Lupoli and Stokes now and get a decent midfielder and centre back.

O dear

Craig Beattie (born 16 January 1984 in Glasgow) is a Scottish footballer who made his name playing for Celtic. He currently plays for Sheffield United on loan from West Bromwich Albion. His career has been hindered by injury proneness, in particular recurring hamstring problems

Sounds like he's being groomed to sign for Wednesday!
We have a hamstring, knee, arm, ankle injury list the size of Oklahoma! :hihi:

It's been brought to my attention that Beattie has been playing for one Neil Warnock for 3 months this season.....

Is this really a surprise - Blackwell going for Warnock players again?

As for Stokes, he is back at Sunderland.

Yeah, my mistake, Stokes has already gone back. I think Stokes is a good player, but a pointless loan for us.

As for Beattie, not only did Warnock sign him on loan, but I believe that Robson tried to bring him to the lane while he was here... but lost out to West Brom.

Why would we need midfielders? It's not like Blackwell allows us to play the ball through it :|

More of a Neil Shipperly player i am led to believe but with a bit of pace on him.. Crystal Palace fans were gutted that they couldn't sign him and they said he was one of there best players when he was on loan to them. Decent signing imo but if him and Hendo play up front together its got hoofball written all over it.

He did pretty well at Palace.
It seemed his name was in the papers quite often as scoring for them.
Like you say, if he stays fit, he could bag a fair few goals for ya.
United 1 Warnock 0 it seems! :)

Seems a pretty good signing for us if played with a pacy striker, but not if partnered with Hendo. As always though, it counts for nothing if he doesn't get the service he needs...
