Its my parents 30th wedding annaversary this yr, and i would like to give them a present they will love, I have an idea, I was thinking about them renewing there wedding vows, i have asked them they said they love too but with the 'credit crunch' they cant afford it as my dad is now disabled so they only on benefits. I am just wondering does it cost as much to renew the wedding vows then it is too get married, i mean if i do offer to pay for this, what is the cheapest possible route to get this done??

If your parents are churchgoers and they want to renew their vows in church during a normal service, it will cost nothing at all. To do something in church if they are not churchgoers will involve them in discussions with the vicar/minister/priest, but the price is not fixed and is unlikely to be very much.
However, if you want a re-run of a wedding with flowers, photographers, catered do afterwards and all the trimmings, the only saving will be on a wedding licence (which you don't need for renewing vows).
