Hi, have a look at Travelbag for flights to Australia. I have been via Seoul in Korea for £570 return, with a stopover of a couple of days in Seoul. This was with Korean Air and I think they are still quite cheap.

I have used STA travel before and their website http://www.statravel.co.uk is really useful and I know you can book your travel programme through them including Bus/Rail passes with your debit card.

Do your research and have a look how much it would be to buy your travel passes when in Oz (on google.com.au etc) as I think it would be cheaper because then you don't have to pay STA travel any commission.

Also when you buy a flight check whether or not a VISA is included or not and whether you need to organise this your self.

'Has anyone used STA Travel?' I haven't because I book things direct with the airline and internal flights when in Oz to save the commission. I would really like to hear other peoples opinions on this.

Hope this helps.

My girlfriend and I booked two weeks on the east coast of America last september. STA arranged everything for us and the holiday ran very smoothly.

We spent our first two nights in New York, took the train for a night in Boston, then a train to Washington DC for two nights, then a train back up to New York for another two nights before flying to Tampa Bay for the second week.

Everything was arranged by STA (flights, transfers, insurance, airport tax, accomodation) except the accomodation in Tampa which we arranged before getting there, although the rep from STA recommended a place which we ended up staying in and it was VERY nice. We got it all for £1000 which I thought was excellent value!!
