I'm getting married in a few weeks and need to get presents for the Ushers.

The problem is I have absolutely no idea what to get them?

I don't want to buy something like a hip-flask or cufflinks which will be put in a drawer after the event and never seen again, rather something a bit special.

Looking to spend up to about £30 each.

Does anyone have any ideas????

Well, I was recently a bridesmaid for my sister and my present was a champagne glass with my name on, 'chief bridesmaid" and a little cartoon picture of me.

My brother, who was an usher, got a similar pint glass, as did the best man and other ushers.

It's no more original than cufflinks or a hip flask but it's the gesture that counts, and it's nice to have something personal.

Plus helpers on the day understand how expensive everything adds up to be. This really is a case where a token gift is absoultely fine.

If they are smokers - you could go for a nice lighter - they last a long time. Or maybe a nice manly chain or bracelet - my son got one for Christmas from his brother - from Argos, it is very nice and wasn't very expensive.

Have a wonderful day, and all the very best for your married life together. xx

My boyfriend was an Usher last year. He got a great book called, 'How to do just about everything' published my collins. It was a really good idea and suitable for everyone.
