Why don't people use their garages anymore ? A neighbour recently had both cars broken into during the night whilst they were on his drive. The miscreants escaped with one car and crashed the other into the wall. The owner of the cars has a large garage which he still doesn't use. Why ? Because it's ful of rubbish.

Loads of people don't use their garages then bleat when cars are stolen off the driveway. Most garages are full of rubbish that wants ditching, I'm a great believer in chucking stuff out and using the garage for it's original purpose. If you haven't used something in 6 months then you should seriously review wether or not you need the item.

not to mention how much cheaper your insurance is if your car is garaged!

As we all go for cheaper insurance, It is possible that if you claim for parking your car in your garage, and it is broken into or stolen from off your drive, then you may find that they either won't pay out or may charge you a grand in excess fees.

Moral of the story, skip that rubbish and have a clear out.

This is something that annoys me SO MUCH!!

After your house, generally speaking your car is the second biggest purchase you ever make.

So why oh why do people with garages seem to think it's so important to keep an old vaccum cleaner, a rusty lawnmower and a couple of knackered old pushbikes secure while their £1000 plus car sits outside, open to the elements and fully accessible to criminals?

I'd absolutely love to be able to use a garage, but I've never had one. And those that are lucky enough to have them rarely seem to make use of theirs!

Gah!

Our garage is used, its currently got my brothers bike in. The people that made it, made it too small for a car to fit in
