I think wednesday will be very lucky to get anything from the lane, and id be happy for a draw at home. Anything better would be a bonus:

I predict the Blades to get 6 points from the Owls matches.

Although looking at both teams' first few games, the Owls could get off to a better start as they are playing the likes of Hull early on.

Surely a Boxing derby should have been on the card or did United bribe the officials because they were worried about another spanking?

When in recent times have they given the Blades a spanking? Lets all dredge up past victories (such as the blades 7-3 thrashing of the Owls, even longer ago than 1979!)

Face facts...........

YOU'RE NOT FAMOUS ANYMORE!

The Blades should get 4 or 6 points from the derbies this season.

Wgatever happens its just a game of football, i'd love wednesday to win them both. I just hope both games run smoothly with both sets of fans having a jolly day. Hopefully all the scallies will stay away! :wow: :headbang: :help:  :gag:

4 to 6 points for United.

Please will everyone stop going on about victories from 20 years ago. Many of us weren't even born the last time anyone got a thrashing off the other.

And neither club is famous either.

I beg to differ, Both Sheffield clubs are very famous it's just that wednesday are more of a worldwide household name than united.

As Sir Bobby Robson said recently Wednesday are one of the top ten clubs in the country and should be in the premiership. It does matter about past history as that is PART of what makes you a famous big club

On paper United have a far better team than Wednesday and should romp home in both games. HOWEVER Wednesday are playing for pride as the underdoig so the resultys are not a foregone conclusion. I hope that United kick their a** in both games but as a rational thinker this is wishfull thinking. In any case it's great to get these derbies once again. It's great for both clubs and the fans. UP THE BLADES.

Let the blades do all the talking. We did all the talking in the early 90's derbies and look what good that did us. Can't wait to see the gormless faces of the pig fans when they come to S6 because they'll finally see what a big crowd looks like.
