After Saturday's disapointment, can we bounce back against the tykes?
I thought they looked a decent little side at Oakwell and have made improvments to the squad with the like's of Michael Misfud being brought in.
It should be an exciting game and a decent crowd aswell.

one can hope we bounce back :hihi: with our home form and with our team we should be able to pick up the victory, but then again wednesday have a habbit of losing when they should win against these so called "lesser" teams as it is.

Let's just say that as we had far bigger fish to fry, nobody exactly came away from Hillsborough gutted that we'd lost a game in a pointless competition.

I think its going to be a toughie tommorow derby's always are, Barnsley will be chomping at the bit tommorow to try and do the double over us so we have got to be on our guard 100% lad's.

To be fair, you'd have to go on a pretty horrific run to get relegated from that position, there are so many average teams in this division, it's hard to see too many of the teams below you managing more than another 10 points!

It's not good though losing to a poor team for the first derby double defeat in donkey's years though is it! :)

well, tudgay picked it up in our half and just ran at you. rice picked up a long pass i think it was and he wasnt far away from pen area, no wednesday player near, surely they knew he is their most dangerous player

Well what a load of rubbish we were tonight. Could have walked out after 60mins. Clarke shouldnt have been on the pitch to start with he was diabolical. Gray had a bad night too, expected alot more than what we got from him-dissapointing. O'connor had a shocking game, was his fault Barnsley scored.

tonight was the first time i've left before the final whistle, clarke and o'conner were the 2 i'd pick as having the worst game. gray hasnt played many games for wolves so i'll let him off, cant be easy going from not playing to playing as many as he has. at least they cant play any worse next game, probably play better seems i cant go:mad:

Totally agree

All credit to Barnsley - they came and out fought us in the first half (a poor half). It says a lot about attitude when the away team can leave three up front when defending corners. In the second half they sat back and invited us to have a go.

Our midfield was very poor last night. I know JJ had a spell at the start of the second half, but first half I don't think he did anything of note.

In a way it reminded me of Wimbledon of old. They chased every ball in the first half and stopped us playing - and they crowded out the midfield. And I couldn't work out what formation they were playing. It's similar to what one of the Donny players said about Donny the other day - no one knows what to expect from them as they are a little unorthodox, and in the first half last night we looked a bit shell shocked - like we had no idea where their players were.

in the end though, the unorthodox one day gets found out, so they won't always be a suprise package.

And don't get me started on the diving from some of their players......

Overall though, we didn't deserve anything.

I was fairly puzzled at why we had a decent left footed player (Gray) down the right, and a natural right sided player (Johnson) down the left. It just didn't work at all for me.

I was fairly puzzled at why we had a decent left footed player (Gray) down the right, and a natural right sided player (Johnson) down the left. It just didn't work at all for me.

would you say you raised your game for the birmingham and united games or has something else occured?. the way we have been playing I know you did not have to raise the game much but agree on the donny point , they are a decent side.

Jeffers was a gamble that didn't pay off mate
He's got the ability but just hasn't got the confidence,with what BL has had to work with i think he's done a bloody good job and would be very happy if he had money to spend

That is the worse performance from Wednesday since Law's took over last night, even against Reading we showed more fight than what we did against Barnsley.
I was one of the many who left early and went straight to the dog's and Napoleons, it took many many pint's to get that abysmal showing out of my system.
I don't for the life of me understand what Oconner was doing for Campbell-Ryce's goal, it was comical defending to say the least.

it was dire. laws said there was an improvement in the second half but i cant say it was that much better. jeffers has to start saturday, clarke should only be used as a last resort. maybe give mcallister a start in place of o'conner? similar sort of players i believe. must improve though. we were lucky it was only against barnsley, play like that against palace and we could be well beaten

i'm not criticising laws, he's doing the best he can but i would expect a championship club to be able to pass a ball. i'd be happy with mid table but you am i the only one that is getting a little concerned with how close we could get to the relegation zone. its a tough month and if we pick up 0 points from that lot and teams below pick up some its going to get very worrying. i am behind the team but if they play like that why shouldnt we criticise? i only pointed out a couple of changes, the main 1 being clarke.

Agree we aint safe yet and tuesday night was a bloody awful display but it wasn't a typical Owls display,in a lot of games we have outplayed teams who have a lot better players than we do
And unless all the teams below us have a decent unbeaten run i can't see us being in trouble

It seems a few cracks are appearing in Wednesday fan's armour.
The Forest, Donny and Barnsley results have done nothing to curb the beginnings of unrest.
Hope the next few results calm things down a bit, but March's fixtures are looking more and more daunting.
It's going to be a very difficult next month or so. :(

Not confident at all about the Palace game, and we HAVE to play towards the top end of our capabilities to get anything at all in March I reckon.
It could be a demoralising time, and it's up to BL to make sure it's not.
He's picked us up before, and he really has to earn his dosh over the next six games, or it could be curtains half closed. :(

It's all very well saying that we're playing a lot of poor teams on paper, but the end of the season is the worst possible time to be playing them as they'll be scrapping for every point.
