We need to rehome Smudge - please help Photo (http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii182/kelirobinson/smudge.jpg)
Please PM me if you are interested.
Sale Amount – Free to a good home
Reason for Rehome / Sale – We helped out a friend who was moving away and unable to take their cats with them. His other cat has already been rehomed before he moved, but the original plan for Smudge fell through so we said we would find her a new home after he had moved. Unfortunately we already have two pets and are unable to take a third permanently otherwise we would keep her ourselves.
Time Scale – How Urgent? – As soon as possible
Has the Cat ever been in Rescue – No
Location – S2
Age & Sex – 5 and female
Vaccinated & Wormed - Yes
Neutered & Micro chipped – Neutered, not chipped as far as aware
Breed/ Mix – plain old domestic cat
Colour/markings - black and white with a cute black smudge on her nose
Long/Shorthaired – shorthaired
Live in / Or in and out – both
Used to a cat flap – no
Ever lived with other cats/dogs/other animals – yes, with other cat at her old home, temporarily with another cat and dog at ours
Any Current or Historical Health or Psychological Issues – no
Temperament – extremely affectionate, likes nothing better to curl up with you and be petted and loved
OK with Dogs / Cats – definitely ok with other cats, doesn’t get on too well with our Yorkie, but that is because he wants to play with her. No fights, she just runs off.
Can the Cat be picked up and put in a basket without risk of scratching – yes
Can the Cat be groomed without risk of scratching – yes
Good or Bad with Children – my friend said she is fine with children as she had regular contact with his god-daughter, but we have no children to test this on.
Dislike of Men or Women - not that we have seen, she used to live with a man, and we are women.
Housetrained – yes, as long as you show her where the litter tray is, or she will go outside
Any further General Information you can share. – Smudge would really suit an older person, or a couple, maybe a single person if they have time to spend with her. She loves to be curled up with someone and be petted, she’ll purr her heart out and actively seek out human contact, yet she is also happy to spend the day curled up in a ball sleeping. She can be a little scared of a new environment. We noticed this, but I think only because she was moved from her home of 5 years where she lived with another cat, temporarily to our house where we have a cat and a dog and two new, strange humans. She settles down quickly though as long as you show her attention.
If someone would like to take her, could they please bring a cat carrier as we only have one?
