We have a lovely female lop, unneutered as yet as she is quite young (and my last rabbit died having the op so I'm a bit wary!) and would like to get her a friend.
Was thinking of another female - will they get on and could they live together intact? Marmalade is a very chilled, friendly and happy bunny. I will get them spayed when older as I know this helps in many ways.
Any advice?

I do know of 2 females that lived together ok un-neutered but they were not caged they were pretty much free living, in general does can get rather feisty once the hormones kick in, so I think neutering best unless they can live with loads of space.

I used to have four females - all rescues who lived really happily togetether but they were in a huge converted shed so they could burrow and live pretty naturally. Think it's it a bit of luck whether they will get on.
I have baby boys need homes for, would be perfect castrated ;-p

I have 11 rabbits and have had nuetered male/female combinations and same sex combinations. I have 4 females (2 twos) that live happily together, no fighting between them - these are not nuetered and around 2 years old now. There are some rabbits that won't get on with anything - I've kept rabbits for 20 years and only come across 2 rabbits like this. As long as you introduce them slowly and don't put them in the same hutch immediatley, I would say that they should be fine but there are always exceptions.

I've got two females live together really happy, they sit together, and cuddle up at night, and wash each other, and they were both adult when they were introduced, there was bit of squabbling at first but nothing major and it only lasted two days, and now they are the best of friends, and niether are neutered.
I have 2 females and 2 neuted males living happily together and both females at present are un spayed ( soon will be though) when we introduced the other male there was some chasing and the odd furry but but they all groom each other now and live happily together,
Thank's everyone - will give it a go! x
I bought 2 sister bunnies but when i went to fetch them we couldnt leave the remaining sister which was the runt of the litter so we came back with all 3. They got on famously for a few months then one of them started going for the other 2 so i kept her separate until i had the original 2 spayed. We introduced them slowly back together but now the one that went for the other 2 is ok with the runt but the other one which was ok to begin with now goes for the other 2? I shouldnt have botherd having them done and just bought another hutch, i think. The breeder says give them time and slowly introduce them but i dont no how much time to give them and its horrible to watch the dominant one ripping the fur out of the other two. Any ideas?

It's best to introduce rabbits on neutral ground, somewhere that none of them have ever been before as rabbits are territorial, you then need to keep them there for hours/days and keep an eye on them to make sure that they are ok, once they bond you should never split them up or they might not go back together again.
If the rabbits are together now and not getting on I don't know what you can do, but I think if it was me I would simply get another hutch and introduce a neutered buck to one of the females as a companion.
