Sure, would be nice, but HELLO, EARTH CALLING! AltyOwl 12-02-2009, 22:35 sureley as a wednesday player you have to be a sheffield lad , to feel it for your city , foreigners have no compassion for sheffield, Yeah, Tudgay wasn't bothered when he hit that shot into the top corner:loopy: CorkerSWFC 12-02-2009, 22:44 sureley as a wednesday player you have to be a sheffield lad , to feel it for your city , foreigners have no compassion for sheffield, Thats a really really old fashioned way to look at things really m8, i think you just have to accept that football is an international game these day's, that's why so many bloke's in there 40s have given up on footy there's no where near as much passion in the game any more, compared to what they have seen. Your right though it would be nice for a rule to be brought in where you had to have at least 2 or 3 home grown players in your team every saturday and some firmer ground rules put down when it come's to the bigger clubs scouting around for the smaller club's better player's. AltyOwl 12-02-2009, 22:49 To be fair, Wednesday have a lot more homegrown players than most. Boden and Modest are Sheffield lads, Beevers just down the road from Barnsley. Spurr and Wood, are from near Leeds I think, but have been with Wednesday since they were kids and are Wednesday fans. So Wednesday aren't doing badly. Regards to the first post, what would you think of a Blades fan playing for Wednesday? Surely with their passion for Sheffield United, they would hate Wednesday and would play badly! |
