I havent posted for a while and feel the need to be controversial. However, I do feel the need to vent my frustration now the students have gone.

Next time you go out on a Friday or Saturday night, count the number of attractive women you see - I never get past 10 all night. There are plenty of average and even more totally unattractive.

I am after objective views here - not a hate mob!

Have you visited many other towns and cities and compared the munter demographic there with that of Sheffield?

I'd hate to see such a statement made without some sound research to back it up...:hihi:

The most unattractive girls are those in Burton On Trent, the Oxford girls are ok, but time and time again i'm told by visitors how good looking our girls are.

This is very very true!! All the fitties got snapped up years ago when I didn't really care (so they have no need to be out on the razzle every weekend) - now at 26 I am gettin a tad worried but hey beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that so can't really generalise that much - there are some single fitties but they normally have a group of about 50 blokes after them and i just don't do chasin!!! :D

I've just been on holiday to latvia. I can assure you, the number of munters in sheffield is huge compared to there. I've never seen such a concentration of attractive ladies.

Eastern Europe as a whole is supposed to be incredible.

But Sheffield ain't too bad for fine-looking fillies, as friends of mine who live elsewhere have commented. Try a night out in Huddersfield or Barnsley for rank ugliness (both sexes). Ugh!

My brothers occasionally visit and we go out in Sheffield, they are majorly impressed by the attractiveness of the ladies in the area.
Unfortunately I reckon this is more down to the lack of clothing than the actual attractiveness... :rolleyes:

Objective view: You need to change your drinking haunts, oh and take off the blinkers.

I'm pretty new to Sheffield and think that it's not a bad looking town. To be honest it's the same as everywhere in the U.K. You get some absolutely stunning women in Sheffield, but my god, you get some freaks out too!!! Especially if you ever walk down the moor during the day, it's like hunch-back central!!!

I think if you've lived in one place all your life you get used to the surroundings and people. When i first moved here i thought it was great and the girls were stunning, but thats only because they were fresh meat!! (Sorry girls, not being sexist, just couldn't think of a better way to put it) After a while you get to see them more and more and they just look average cause your used to them.

I bet everyone has noticed it, whenever you go on holiday or whenever you go to another club/bar in a strange town, you think it's the best place ever with the best looking people ever. It's just the fact that it's something different to you.

Why not try venturing out to other towns/cities to see how good/crap they are?

I'm not a local but i've lived here for a long time. I have to say that your points are completely without foundation. In my area there are some drop dead gorgeous women, plenty of lovely ladies in Sheffield. I can think of at least 20 of my female aquintances that are lovely looking ladies.

Sheffield is not a very good city for home grown attractive women (sorry mum :D ). I find that most attractive girls I see have come here from somewhere else.

However, it aint as bad as Hull and Sheffield women tend to be nicer people than a lot of other places:thumbsup:

This city has some absolute crackers! The amount of times I've spotted a gorgeous girl in Sheffield and my brain has gone in a Terry Thomas stylee "Well Hellooooooo" has gone past the point of sensible numeracy.

Granted, as with any large city there is a number of truly frightening trolls but they're seldom seen in daylight so I'll not worry about them.

Mott or Mot, was always one of my favourites.

As a Sheffielder in London I can honestly say that, generally speaking, Sheffield ain't too hot when it comes to women. However, as my Sheffield girlfriend would point out, there are exceptions to the rule and I would definetly agree.
If you are wondering where most of the beautiful people are in this country then you need to mosey on down to Central London et Voila!! Something all my friends (male & Female) seem to notice when they visit....which is why I feel so at home down here...X-)

I've been to Manchester, Nottingham and Leeds several times and seen loads of cracking girls in each city. London's absolutely knockout :D. Sheffield isn't too bad but Barnsley is terrible:gag:. The women there are generally ugly (one of the mates says "I'm not saying there aren't any attractive lasses in Barnsley, but I've never seen one"), and not particularly friendly either, but the place where I've seen most attractive girls is Italy when I went there in 1994, and as for Barnsley, usually if you do see an attractive girl she's usually an outsider who might have gone into Barnsley for the one and only time in their lives. One attractive girl I saw there had a Geordie accent. They say girls in Peterborough (voted the bustiest in the country) and Swindon (where Melinda Messenger comes from) are nice and attractive, though.

I think Sheffield has a great number of attractive ladies. I don't go round town of an evening anymore, but when I'm in some bar/pub/bistro it's very rare that I don't think at least once 'she's pretty' or even, 'wow' (very often a waitress or someone working behind the bar!). [My wife reads this; I'm being very careful...,]

But maybe you're only too aware of a dearth of attractive girls when you're out looking for it? Or could it just possibly be, perhaps, that it's the other way round, that girls aren't attracted to you?

That's a question and not a statement. And, although you say you don't want any PC balance here, it's a natural progression and an interesting proposition to put to the ladies: Does Sheffield have the most unattractive men in the country?

Personally, if it's worrying you you're either getting hooked up about it, or are doing 'it' wrong.

As I said earlier, by reckoning on Sheffield's female population to be 'unattractive' (could that be ugly?), one could be hiding a personal unhappiness.

Hi All

My job takes me all over the country. Sheffield used to be good but these days (since christmas) the women are rougher than the men. I go out drinking in places like Revolution, Forum, Takapunas, Bai Hoi....all the usual non chav places. I expect lots of rough girls in towns but Sheffield is a city!

P.S. All the attractive girls are tend to come from somewhere else i.e. students.

the quality of totty seems to go up during the summer... i wonder why :thumbsup:

I would say Sheffield was great for girls - my mates from Essex come to visit especially for them! And in Summer, when the students are away no less, it's even better!

My favourite night in Sheffield for fit girls is Hed Kandi (even when the students aren't here).
