We discovered that as much as our doggy here loves water she wont let us go near any ice!!!! Has she got a sense of danger for us ?? If we go near the waters edge while its iced over she walks in front of us right next to the water an wont let us near!!! shes amazing!

DOES YOUR PET HAVE ANY SAFETY FEATURES? LOL

Aw bless her! Clever girlie! Although, try not to test her - you don't want her too near the edge!!

Takara has some safety features too - some of which she's been taught, others she just chooses to do. She was taught to help me up if I fall down or if I have to get down on the floor for whatever reason she can help me up again.

But she also chooses to do a few things like, pushing on my leg when I'm bleeding (I don't know I'm bleeding) to tell me and she somehow knows when I'm uncomfortable with someone and will put herself between us. She's not aggressive at all, but I once had a guy get a bit too close and asking some dodgy questions and she put herself between us and barked - I never had to say a word!

Isn't it great when dogs just know!

ooooooooh no we would never test her ....she doesnt go on the ice herself she touches it with her paw and its iced over she walks away!
also if we are walking her shes happily off on a wander by herself in the trees , etc but if someone is approaching (even if we dont see them) she knows and will come and walk 3 feet in front of us watching to see if alls ok.

Molly stands between me and anyone else we meet when we're out at night too- I never trained her to do it and her previous owner never allowed her offlead so I don't know where she picked up that it was a good thing to do.

Zeb, bless his cotton socks, is determined to save me from myself by stealing any chocolate/crisps/biscuits that I'm foolish enough to leave within reach of his long legs!

As touched as I am by his concern for my ever-increasing waistline, I was extremely miffed the first time he pinched a big bar of whole nut, because I wasn't sure how he'd react to chocolate, so I had to sit up with him the whole night, in case he needed an emergency visit to the vet!
