Hi,
I work from home and with the fantastic weather at the moment, working in my back garden seems like an atractive idea.
I have a PC and a laptop both using XP and AOL 9.0 and need to know is any one knows of a company or individual that can come and set up a home network for me.
I would have a crack at it myself however I cannot afford to get it wrong as I need to be online all the time and I understand that AOL can be difficult to set up.
Help Please.....
AOL can supply you with a branded netgear modem router wireless combo, not sure on the price tho.

AOL from experience are a nightmare when used with a router. Things don't work as they should (MSN is one, even tho AOL IM works perfectly) good luck.
Would advise you go with the AOL supplied stuff
Have you ever tried using your laptop outside when it's sunny? I hate to rain on your parade but most of the screens basicly suck in direct sunlight.
You end up squinting at the screen most of the time before surrendering and sitting in the shade to finished off what you were doing :)
Wireless does rock though. Definatly worth getting, I'd dump AOL though, if for no other reason than AOL software is bloatware crap.
Pc world sell the netgear wireless modem, that supports aol 9.
i know cos i use one, and its miles better than the voyager modem. i think price is around £80.
Caution though, you can only network on aol if you are subscribed to aol gold or aol platinum.

I hope your talking about the usb modem that comes with AOHELL
I'm using the BT Voyager 2100 wireless router with AOHELL at the moment. It cost me £100 with a wireless card for the PC and a wireless card for the laptop.
The Voyager 2100 also won recent group tests in two magazines (I think Computer Active & Computer Shopper).
It did take me about half an hour to set up though :(
PS.....Don't buy a wireless router off AOL! They're prices are extortionate :o

Thanks for the info.
Without sounding big headed, money is not the primary concern here, I need someone to come and fit the kit with the minimum fuss and get it right first time.
