The thing is theirs is a derby match not a cup game and they have to let them in for nowt, must be that charitable streak they have just found. :D

anywhere apart from bramall lane end. thats for away fans. family stand is ideal but if you've a 3 year old maybe better getting seats for gangway c, d, or e. there near the half way line (middle) gangways g and h can be a little boisterous as there near the away end. and fans taunt each other. fun for yer hubby but maybe not for a 3 year old.

Bit of a poor crowd given that Hull sold 5,000, that means United sold around 17,000 for a 5th round cup tie against premiership opposition and with kids for a quid.

I might be wrong but when the away sales are taken out of the equation, does that men that Wednesday sold more for the Fulham game (third round tie and kids weren't a quid).

Maybe the bubble has finally burst.

Clutching at straws a bit now aren't we Titanic?

There was only one club yesterday in football who got a higher crowd than the Blades, this includes all the leagues and also the cup. I don't see that as bad going

I wasn't commenting on that, it just seemed a very poor crowd for a fifth round F.A cup tie, with reduced prices, and an away following of 5,000.

Or maybe our attendance against Fulham was better than we should have expected, just seems odd that we've probably sold more for a third round tie at higher prices than you lot did for a fifth round game (and here was me thinking that crowds tend to get progressively bigger the further you go in the cup).

Impressive, but did other clubs offer kids for a quid and have an away following of 5,000?

thought the prices at the sty were reduced to.

maybe it was because you realised it would be your one and only game in the cup so you all turned out. as we have to budget for further rounds. :)

£15 quid for adults and a fiver for kids.

Fair point about our only game, it's kind of how I justified it to the missus, "come on love, the lads don't get to see premiership teams very often".

so yesterdays game was 4 quid a kid cheaper a kid. and adults same 15 quid.

hear your letting kids in free against barnsley. and found out last night of a nurse. everybody who works at childrens gets 2 free tkts. not slagging that think its about time.

our game against barnsley is cat a 26 quid and 12 quid a juvenile. wont be far off 30,000.

i think without the free tickets we would of got around 25k, so no harm in giving a few away, especially on the west stand lower, unless they got the whole stand

We've been over this point before, you've sold around 20,000 season tickets the cheapest of which was £299 (13 quid a game), your first kids was free and the second was £59 (£2.50 a game). So for a family of my size that would make the cost at your place £15.50 which is by far and away cheaper than anything on offer at Hillsborough (even with the latest offers).

Let's wait until next season, have parity in prices and then judge the results.

The point I made is about the Hull game, even if you won't admit it I'm sure most people at the club will have been dissappointed at that crowd.

Also, fair play to the Hull support, the F.A cup still appears to be attactive to them.

I have to admit I thought the crowd was less than expected,I doubt we will get near 30,000 against barnsley, more like 25,000-27,000,its a tuesday night.

yes but your only talking about the cheapest tkts. not the average. and you could only have a free u/10 season tkt if you was a st holder the season before. and the kids fee's your quoting are under 10's. i have to pay 12 quid a game for my under 16. my barnsley tkt will be 26 quid for behind the goal more than any wendy has paid this season for a simular seat at the sty.

We certainly seem to do better against them in the FA Cup than the League Cup - I remember us getting a well earned 1-1 down at Highbury with Andy Gray's late penalty in 2005, when they finished with 10 men, and could easily have had a couple of others sent off!
