Believe it or not, thanks to the wonderful Paris Hilton and her "designer handbag dog craze" these little dogs are fetching over £1000 each.

It's ridiculous money I wouldn't pay that sort of money for any dog, dogs are not always a pleasure....no matter how cute they look, or how long the pedigree they all wee on your carpets and destroy the house! :gag:

Dogs are not "sumthing cute", like a pair of fluffy boots or the latest style in mobile phones. They are living creatures and need care and attention, probably more than you realise, if you haven't had pets before.
You can't just play with them and carry them around like a fashion accessory, then put them down and ignore them when you want to. before you even consider getting a dog, you need to find out what's involved in owning one - Dogs Trust has some useful information leaflets (http://www.dogstrust.org.uk/information/factsheets/) and there are plenty of others if you have a quick search on the net.
Basically, you need to consider whether you can afford a dog - there's food, a bed, toys, lead, etc, to say nothing of vet's fees - neutering, annual jabs and treatment for any illness/accident they have.
And there's also exercise and company - even a tiny dog needs exercise and the chance for a run around - do you have the time for a couple of walks a day, in all weathers, not just when the sun is shining? How long will s/he be left alone, while you're out at college/work/having fun? What will happen when you go on holiday - do you have someone to look after the dog or will it have to be boarded at kennels?
